CHAN 2014: Ghana beat Ethiopia 1-0 to reach quarters

first_imgGhana defender Kwabena Adusei’s penalty downed Ethiopia by a goal to nil and sealed a place for the local Black Stars in the quarter finals stage of the on going CHAN tournament.Adusei scored the only goal of the match when striker Seidu Bancey was brought down in the Ethiopian’s penalty box in the 76th minute of play.After the game  captain Jordan Opoku  was awarded  the best player for his  outstanding performance in the hard fought victory.He becomes the third Ghanaian player to have been awarded for their performances in all three group matches. Handball players of Grude won the International tournament in Montenegro

first_imgWomen handball team ”Maestral” has organised 4th International Handball Tournament in Igalo, Montenegro, and 6 teams from BiH, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro participated.Two BiH teams participated, ”Lokomotiva” from Mostar and HC ”Grude”.Players of ”Grude” reached the finals by defeating ”Temerin” from Serbia with 31:27, ”Maestral” from Herceg Novi, Montenegro with 34:18In the end handball players of ”Grude” won the tournament. In the final match ”Grude” defeated HC ”Vojvodina” from Novi Sad with 28:26.Also, player of ”Grude” Antonija Kutleš was named the best player of the tournament.last_img read more
