DATE: Wednesday, May 13PROGRESS: Dredging company crews have established a small peninsula of high ground on the narrow beach at 55th Street as the third phase of work begins. The second phase of the south end beach replenishment project is now complete at St. David’s Place (between 47th and 48th streets).WHAT’S NEXT: The project will proceed from 55th Street to St. David’s Place (mid-May to mid-June), then from 55th to 59th (mid-June to mid-July).
