The report by the committee appointed by the United National Party (UNP) to investigate claims made by State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake that some Parliamentarians use cocaine, was handed over to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today.The committee headed by Leader of House Minister Lakshman Kiriella conducted inquiries last week and submitted a report on its findings today. The federal broadcast regulator has approved an application by Rogers Communications Inc. to convert Montreal’s CJNT, an ethnic television station, into a Citytv station. The CRTC says CJNT will increase the number of Citytv stations, which will enable Rogers to broaden its national coverage.
